Arts Active is hosting a Question and Answer session with Wales Theatre Company and two-time Olivier Award-winner, director Michael Bogdanov, ahead of the company’s performance of Romeo and Juliet on Thursday 16 October 2008. The Q & A is free to all patrons with tickets for that evening performance.

In a theatre, television and film career spanning 35 years, Michael Bogdanov has won some 19 awards – including two Laurence Olivier Awards for Best Director – two BAFTA's, and received some 20 nominations. He was an Associate Director of the Royal National Theatre under Sir Peter Hall for eight years, and has directed eight productions for the Royal Shakespeare Company. In autumn 2005 he directed the Wales Theatre Company's Hamlet in the first ever Welsh/English back to back productions, winning the Theatr–Wales Award for Best Welsh Language Production.
Following award-winning productions of Twelfth Night, Cymbeline, The Merchant of Venice and Hamlet, the Wales Theatre Company now brings you Shakespeare’s definitive tale of poison and passion, feuding and fighting, pride and prejudice. With fights by Malcolm Ranson and design by Sean Crowley, Romeo and Juliet starring Jack Ryder and Sara Lloyd – Gregory promises to be one of the dramatic highlights of the year.

Romeo and Juliet runs at the New Theatre from Tuesday 14 – Saturday 18 October 2008. To book tickets call box office on 029 2087 8889
