"Locked In" at the Wyeside     



A highly anticipated revival of Half Moon’s hugely successful play Locked In by award winning Fin Kennedy will be shown at Wyeside on Friday 14 November at 7.30pm. .

Fin Kennedy's was runner up at The Brian Way awards 2008 for his script of Locked In. Directed by Angela Michaels, Locked In is a hard hitting play developed in direct contact with young people to ensure an authentic language. This cutting edge piece portrays the diverse multi-cultural and gritty inner-city life of young people and is underscored with a hip-hop soundtrack by legendary DJ Biznizz and with a strong urban design by Yasuko Hasegawa. .

DJ Biznizz has been at the forefront of the hip-hop music scene. Starting out with The London Posse, and working with musicians, rappers and artist's such as The Cookie Crew, Courtney Pine and Robert Hylton. He spent many years as the mix DJ on Tim Westwood's Radio 1 show. DJ Biznizz is a founding member of The En4crs.
Locked In revolves around the friendship between Blaze (Ashley J) and Riqi (Kim Hardy) two rising stars of a local pirate radio station. The arrival of Zahida (Ambur Khan) into their lives, the pressures placed on them by others and the consequences of doing a favour for a local gangster create an explosive conclusion with far reaching impact for all.
