Medusa....
|
A group of Cardiff University Students are proud to present their myth of the Gorgon Medusa and her nemesis Perseus the son of Zeus.
The story comes to life through dance, song, music, poetry, comedy, puppets and art in a whirlwind of colour that will wing the audience back to Ancient Greece. The oh so slight of tongue Messenger God Hermes tells the myth of Perseus and his quest to slay the monstrous Gorgon.
On his quest Perseus encounters characters from Greek mythology, excepting the help of King Midas and his asses ears they follow the directions of the stalwart Odysseus only for Perseus to fall in love with a beautiful abandoned Princess. The fate of Medusa is in the hands of the Gods of Olympus who are having to manage the people of Greece and their prayers in the absence of the Zeus King of the Gods.
The cast and crew have been working on this project since September creating imaginative characters and set that is propelled by the vitality of a live band. Medusa encases everything that is exciting in theatre and live performance and is not one to be missed
