Performing Arts Projects ACW considered applications for this scheme received by the advertised 29 January 2001 deadline, and has supported x projects to date. The dance allocation has been fully spent for this scheme. For this next round, ACW would particularly welcome text based drama applications in Welsh and English, though will consider all other drama applications as per the scheme criteria. These grants enable production by professional artists based in Wales working with a presenting organisation (or group of organisations). Partnerships are a particular feature of this scheme and the involvement of a venue or presenter is essential. Applications may come from groups of artists, arts organisations or presenters. Venue commissions of artists may be one form of application. Grants range from £5,000 to £40,000 and quality, innovation and potential to enrich programming for the public will be priorities. Application deadline: 31 May 2001 £60,000 is on offer for further projects. Director Training These grants help aspiring and experienced professional theatre directors in Wales gain training and further experience through residential training opportunities. Application deadline: 31 May 2001 Up to £6,000 is available for one or more projects as per the scheme guidelines. The new deadline for both schemes is Thursday 31 May 2001 Guidelines and application forms available from : Judy Purdy, Performing Arts Scheme Administrator, Tel: 02920 376536 |
