During March 22-25, 2000 Arad Goch Theatre Company, based in Aberystwyth, Wales, will celebrate the Millennium by staging OPENING DOORS - Wales International Festival of Theatre for Young Audiences 2000. The Festival is being organised with the co-operation of Aberystwyth Arts Centre, one of Wales' liveliest arts venues. Performances will be given, in theatres and schools in Aberystwyth of some of the best theatre for children and young people, including work from Wales, Sweden, Belgium, the USA and Australia. Other venues in Wales hosting some of the foreign production are Theatr Gwynedd, Theatr Taliesin and Theatr Felinfach. AGOR DRYSAU / OPENING DOORS 2000 will be a meeting place for artists from Wales and abroad and will provide an opportunity for us to welcome and share our work with foreign promoters and producers. Special deals are available for Equity members, theatre promoters and producers, other professional artists and students. AGOR DRYSAU / OPENING DOORS 2000 is financially supported by the Arts Council of Wales' Lottery Fund (Millennium Festival Wales), Aberystwyth Town Council and Ceredigion County Council - making it one of the biggest Millennium arts events in Wales. Since the first AGOR DRYSAU / OPENING DOORS held in 1996, theatre for young audiences from Wales has toured to Canada, the USA, Denmark, Singapore, Sweden, Ireland, Scotland, Austria and Turkey. According to one delegate in 1996, AGOR DRYSAU / OPENING DOORS is '...an important place to meet in Europe'.
