LAST CHANCE TONIGHT TO SEE CHARLES WAY NEWEST PLAY AT TALIESIN ARTS CENTRE |
Following sell-out performances at Sherman Cymru and The Egg in Bath, Theatr Iolo’s tour of “Missing” by Charles Way has its final performance at Taliesin Arts Centre in Swansea, 7.30pm tonight, Friday 13th November.“Missing” was co-commissioned with Theater Consol in Germany, the two companies working together with the playwright to explore and develop the script. “I began to merge the story of Hansel and Grethel with several real life stories from across Europe where emotional poverty had led to dramatic incidents, and ‘Missing’ or ‘Looking for Grethel’ came into being. I wanted to write a text that allows a director ‘room to move’ – and as a consequence it is not written in the style of an ordinary play.” Charles Way, playwright This mesmerising production, directed by Kevin Lewis, has been capturing the imaginations of young people in Cardiff and Vale of Glamorgan high schools equally as well as the adults: “It was riveting – Fabulous once again.
