A quarter century of Lurking Truth/Gwir sy'n Llechu There will be a rehearsed reading of Howard Barker’s play Victory on Saturday 26 February, at 7:30 in the Emily Davies Studio, Parry Williams Building,Aberystwyth University to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Lurking Truth/Gwir sy'n Llechu theatre company, who began their artistic trajectory with a production of this play in the Barn Centre, Aberystwyth, in late February 1986.

Since then the company has continued to present properly challenging theatrical works, including world premieres by Arnold Wesker and David Ian Rabey, and English-language premieres of two Barker plays (The Twelfth Battle of Isonzo, A Wounded Knife).


The reading will reunite many core members of the original cast, including Richard Lynch, Eddie Ladd, Roger Owen, Sior Llyfni, Eric Schneider, Ian Cooper and David Ian Rabey, augmented for the occasion by subsequent company members, including Richard Downing, Charmian Savill and Dave Blumfield.
