More than 20 artists are giving a wide range of paintings, prints, textile, ceramics, drawings and photographs for an art auction with all proceeds going to Gwent Young People’s Theatre.

The exhibition will run from 30 September to 9 October, and will feature works by - among others - Angela Bowen, Ben Jones, Geoff Powell, Allison Neal, Chris Hall, Harry Iles, Sophie Foulkes and the Artworkhouse Gallery owner Chris Davies who is a member of the Royal Academy.

Offstage – the fundraising organisation for GYPT – is organising the event. Fran Corcoran says: “We are having tremendous support and are especially grateful, not only to everyone giving their works but also to Chris Davies for allowing us to display them in the marvellous space that is the stone workhouse.

“It promises to be a very exciting event and we will publish a full list of artists at the time.

”During the exhibition, visitors will be invited to make their bid and on the final day the bids will be opened with the works going to the highest bidder.”

The Artworkhouse Gallery is at Hatherleigh Place, Union Road, Abergavenny NP7 7RL (next to Autolaque) and will be open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 8pm September 30 to October 9.
