A COLD SPREAD
19th – 30th October 2011
Riverside Conservative Club – Cardiff
"Our Lord said to you
“Myf’s it’s time to go”
You said: "hang on I’ve got to put the chubb on the lock'.”
A celebration of the life of
Myfanwy 'Myfs' Evans
1935 – 2011
Beloved Wife, Sister and Nono, who always "lifted" our "spirits".
Reception at the Riverside Conservative Club.
A Cold Spread is a pitch black, site-specific, piece of comic theatre about grief, banality and the exact location of Bridgend’s McArthur Glen retail outlet. A Cold Spread is an immersive theatrical experience set at the wake of Myfanwy ‘Myfs’ Evans, performed at the Riverside Conservative Club and largely improvised by its cast. Diane from the Club is whipping up one of her famous buffets and there’s a disco at the end.
The project brings together a range of artists with a wide range of skills in improvised performance together to create a unique and ever changing theatre experience, from actors, musicians, stand-up comics, cabaret artists and even non-performers. It involves some of Wales’ most loved and respected performers alongside up and coming performers from the worlds of comedy and theatre.
