Perfformiad byw o waith ar y cyd rhwng y perfformiwr/artist Ailsa Richardson, a’r artist/gwneuthurwr ffilm Inga Burrows yw Home Landing. Mae’r gwaith yn rhoi sylw manwl i themâu hunaniaeth genedlaethol/ranbarthol a mamwlad sy’n gorgyffwrdd ac mae’r camau wedi'u coreograffu i'w perfformio mewn cegin gymharol fach. Mae'r wisg yn Home Landing yn ymgorffori nodweddion y dillad yr arferid eu gwisgo gan ferched yng Nghymru yn y cyfnod cyn-ddiwydiannol.

Cododd yr awydd i gynnwys cipolwg hanesyddol ar y wisg hanesyddol yn ystod sgwrs rhwng Lynette (perchennog y Wool Pack, Neuadd Farchnad Caerdydd) a Burrows, yn ystod ei chyfnod yn y farchnad. Mae Home Landing dod â’r syniad o wisg genedlaethol yn fyw mewn perfformiad corfforol, sy'n seiliedig ar fyfyrdodau’r perfformiwr ei hun ac ar ei hymdeimlad o berthyn i'r lle y’i magwyd.

Home Landing is live performance of a co-devised movement work, between performer/artist Ailsa Richardson, and artist/filmmaker Inga Burrows. The work explores the overlapping themes of national/regional identity and homeland- the steps choreographed for ease of performance in a modestly sized kitchen. The costume for Home Landing incorporates characteristics of everyday clothing worn by women in pre-industrial Wales.

The impulse to take a historical glance at national dress, emerged out of a conversation between Lynette (owner of the Wool Pack, Cardiff Market Hall) and Burrows, during her market residency. Home Landing animates the idea of national costume in a physical performance, which draws on the performer’s own reflections on her sense of belonging to the place in which she grew-up.

What’s Going On is an exhibition that presents two contrasting new bodies of work by artists Inga Burrows and David Green. Burrows’ body of work Livelyhood has been created in collaboration with the stall holder community of Cardiff Market. Over a 12 month period, Burrows has explored the potential for creating artworks in a commercial workplace, the thematic focus of the exploration being the inter-relationship between labour, identity, and creativity. The exhibition includes a performance work Home Landing, co-devised by performer Ailsa Richardson and Inga Burrows. To be presented on Saturday 17th December at 2pm and 4pm with original music by Rob Smith.

Over the last three decades Green’s paintings have explored themes of alienation and estrangement. In his new body of mixed media works, Green explores the nuances of these enduring themes within his practice, creating disorientating narratives, which contain vague clues, half-truths and dead ends. These pieces are the realisation of inter-connected ideas, which have existed in sketch and note form for a number of years.
