Bite-size Plays at RWCMD at Lunchtime – The Perfect Way to Taste New Drama!
|
Short, entertaining and challenging, the first of our new series of half hour Lunchtime Bites, performed in the Richard Burton Theatre, are designed to offer easy access to a bite of culture during lunchtimes in June.
Unlucky for Some (Thursday 7 June), is showing at RWCMD before transferring to the Edinburgh Fringe in August. Louise Haggerty’s play is a riotous insight into the highs and lows of life inside a community bingo hall – hilarious, captivating and ultimately touching.
Bessie and Me (Friday 8 June) by Anjana Vasan, is a witty and poignant exploration of a lonely woman’s friendship with the 1920s blues singer, Bessie Smith.
Both these one woman plays are written and performed by recent graduates.
