The internationally renowned West Glamorgan Youth Theatre Company presents ‘Decade’ TWO TOWERS. TEN YEARS. THOUSANDS OF OPINIONS.

The internationally renowned West Glamorgan Youth Theatre Company presents ‘Decade’ in conjunction with County Youth Dance Company as part of their Summer Course programme 2012. The Company is made up of some of the most talented young performers South Wales has to offer, this showcase of their

Having just returned from representing Wales at the Cultural Olympiad Youth Theatre Festival in London, West Glamorgan Youth Theatre Company are about to embark on their Summer Course 2012.

This year the Company will perform alongside County Youth Dance Company in a new and exciting piece called ‘Decade’, which was first performed by the National Theatre last year. We will be residential at Margam Discovery Centre from Saturday 21st July 2012 to Sunday 5th August 2012. There are over 40 young people from the West Glamorgan area taking part in the project which is directed by Vivienne Buckley and Matthew Rees.

Performances will take place at:
The Taliesin Arts Centre, Swansea on the 2nd and 3rd August 2012 @ 7.30pm
and
The Bute Theatre, RWCMD, Cardiff on the 4th August 2012 @ 7.30pm

The piece will run at aprox. 1 hour 30 minutes. We would love to see you there. Please email your ticket requirements to wgytc@live.co.uk and we will make sure they are waiting for you at the box office.

2011/12 has been a difficult year for the Company, having faced funding cuts and losing our base at Dan Y Coed residential centre. More than ever
