Amgueddfa Cymru tackles Child poverty in conference
|
A one-day conference Transforming children’s lives: the role of cultural organizations in tackling child poverty will be held at the Reardon Smith lecture theatre at National Museum Cardiff on Tuesday 17 July to discuss how cultural organizations can help to tackle child poverty. (Free but places limited)
Among the speakers at the conference will be Huw Lewis, Minister for Housing, Regeneration and Heritage, Keith Towler, Children's Commissioner for Wales and David Anderson, Director General of Amgueddfa Cymru. In addition, there will be the opportunity to hear about some current projects from museums and other sectors which are providing young people with pathways to cultural engagement.
Attendance at the event is free of charge, including lunch, but there are a limited number of places.

Cynhelir cynhadledd undydd Gweddnewid bywydau plant: rôl sefydliadau diwylliannol wrth fynd i’r afael â thlodi plant yn Theatr Reardon Smith yn Amgueddfa Genedlaethol Cymru ar ddydd Mawrth 17eg o Orffennaf i drafod sut i fynd i’r afael â thlodi plant. (Am ddim – nifer gyfyngedig).
Bydd cyflwyniadau gan y Gweinidog Tai, Adfywio a Threftadaeth, Huw Lewis; Comisiynydd Plant Cymru, Keith Towler a Cyfarwyddwr Cyffredinol Amgueddfa Cymru, David Anderson a nifer o arbenigwyr eraill. Bydd cyfle hefyd i glywed am rai projectau cyfredol mewn amgueddfeydd a sectorau eraill sy’n rhoi llwybrau i bobl ifanc at gyfranogiad diwylliannol.
