Welsh theatre and design talent is put on the international stage.     

Welsh theatre and design talent is put on the international stage. Theatre and design talent from Wales will be put centre stage this September as they showcase their work to the thousands of international industry experts and theatre loving public heading to the World Stage Design 2013 festival taking place in Cardiff next month.

From September 5th, a vast array of Wales based companies, artists, designers and individuals will be showcasing their talents to international visitors through a selection of performances, an exhibition, seminars and workshops taking place at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama in Cardiff.

Welsh companies taking part in the event include:


Joe Fletcher:Exhibiting his lighting design work for National Dance Company Wales' production of Purlieus at the design exhibition (8 – 14 September – Free entry)


Simon Banham - Exhibiting his design work for National Theatre Wales' Coriolan/us at the design exhibition (8 – 14 September – Free entry)


The creative team behind Welsh National Opera's Lulu will exhibit original set, lighting and costume designs at the design exhibition (8 – 14 September - Free entry)


National Dance Company Wales – with two performances of new pieces of work; PURLIEUS / VIRTUAL DESCENT on Wed 11 Sept at 13.30 and 18.30 in The Richard Burton Theatre

WMC – a site specific contemporary dance performance by Chloe Loftus Dance will take enlace outside the WMC as part of the festival (Free of charge)
