Celebrating design talent from across the globe.
Awards have been given to performance designers participating in the World Stage Design 2013 festival taking place in Cardiff.

Their talent and creativity was celebrated at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama in a ceremony hosted by Sean Crowley, project leader and Director of drama at the College.

The call for exhibition entries in early 2013 received over 600 submissions from 52 countries - among them, set, costume, lighting, and sound designs created for some of the world’s best known and admired performance companies.

One hundred finalists were selected to exhibit their work during the World Stage Design 2013 festival in Cardiff, and over the last week the exhibits have been visited by thousands of international attendees.

Gold, silver and bronze awards were given for exceptional work across all categories, and awards were also given for each design category including set, costume, lighting, sound design, new media, performance design and installation.
