Joanna Young’s Recall starts its tour
|
Joanna Young’s latest production, Recall, starts its tour on Thursday 13 February with a performance at Taliesin Arts Centre in Swansea.
Absorbing, playful and emotionally charged, Recall is a remake of Re-creating PenGwyn, a production Joanna created in 2012. This time round she is working with a new cast of dancers, reinvestigating the process and asking what needs to change, disappear and remain when you start again.
Joanna’s beautifully performed work is gaining increasing recognition for its delicacy and richness. Alongside her live productions she makes dance films, creates dance installations and teaches.
Collaborating with Joanna on the production have been Gerald Tyler (lighting design and set) and Filipe Sousa (composer). Recall is performed by Makiko Aoyama; Jacob Ingram-Dodd; Innpang Ooi and Louise Tanoto.
