TENT OF XERXES presents GROUNDED by George Brant

Following the success of its premiere performance, Wales' newest theatre production company returns to Swansea Grand Theatre. Tent of Xerxes presents the multi- award-winning play, Grounded by George Brant, in the Depot Studio of the theatre's Arts Wing on Tuesday 16th and Wednesday 16th June at 7.45pm.

Grounded is a "...scorching sharp-eyed, timely script..." (Time Out, New York) in which an unexpected pregnancy ends an ace fighter pilot's career in the sky. Reassigned to operate military drones from a windowless trailer outside Las Vegas, she hunts terrorists by day and returns to her family each night. As the pressure to track a high-profile target mounts, the boundaries begin to blur between the desert in which she lives and the one she patrols half a world away.

Grounded has picked up numerous accolades, including Winner of the Off-West End Theatre Award for Best Production of 2013, Scotsman Fringe First Award 2013 and The Smith Prize 2013.

"The Body of an American was an ambitious, thought-provoking play, and a huge statement of intent from the fledgling company."
Mark Rees, South Wales Evening Post on Tent of Xerxes' inaugural production.
