The seventh and last edition of Roy Campbell-Moore's photography project
The exhibition opens at Taliesin Arts Centre tomorrow night, 8 October 2015 prior to the evening performance of Shobana Jeyasingh Dance and the exhibition can be seen until 5 November 2015.
This edition is in association with Creu Cymru, Sybil Crouch (Director of Taliesin Arts Centre) and Phil Williams (Artistic Director of Cascade Dance Theatre). Phil's choreography for his Duality was the inspiration for the project and the exhibition shows a portrait study of one of Cascade's dancers, Maria Fonseca, offering a detailed view of her performance, style and personality.
Six printed images make up the exhibition and they are mounted in Taliesin's theatre foyer. They capture vibrant aspects of Maria as she moves through Phil's choreography. The photographs were shot during rehearsals which gives the dancer an intimate and relaxed appearance which contrasts strongly with her convincing and authentic performance of the dance.
