Highly respected Theatre In Education Company Theatr na n'Og are giving year five and six pupils across three county boroughs the chance to experience a compelling new play that looks at the pioneering world of photography set against the suffering of the under classes during the protests and near revolt of the Industrial Revolution.

Painting with Light, is performed at the Dylan Thomas Theatre in Swansea from September to December. The play tells the story of Sara Jones, whose father has been arrested for taking part in the Rebecca Riots and destroying a tollgate. If the magistrate, Mr John Dillwyn Llewelyn, finds him guilty he will be exiled to Tasmania and her family will be sent to a poor house. She runs away from home to confront the magistrate but when she arrives at his home, she is mistaken for one of his photographic assistants and becomes involved in his pioneering experiments with photography.

Will Sara come clean about her life and save her father or does she decide to live a lie and stay in the exciting new world in which she finds herself?
