'Christopher Hampton's haunting and enchanting play resurrects Lewis Carroll and his haunted, enchanted world. The play brings to life the Alice books as his private emotional fantasies and dreams. Hampton shows that Carroll's unforgettable characters embody the inscrutable banalities of the grown-up world, full of childish, evasive, over sensitive adults with their incomprehensible logic and menacing joviality, as seen by a precocious, observant child........Ninety minutes of sheer uninterrupted magic.' John Peter, Sunday Times.

Alice's Adventures Under Ground premiered at the Cottesloe, Royal National Theatre in 1994.

'Polished, accomplished, stylish, mature - there's very little else to be said about Gwent Young People's Theatre. The entire ensemble pulled together to create a flawless example of teamwork.'                 A Midsummer Night's Dream - Liz Davies, Abergavenny Chronicle.
