The Flying School

The Flying school is a week long workshop for people with and without previous dance, aerial or music skills and has been designed to strengthen existing skills and develop new ones. The school takes place from 28 March - 1 April 2004 at Moreton Hall, Oswestry.

The classes will be led by Jess Curtis, Jon Petter and members of Blue Eyed Soul.

Time will be spent each day working individually and as a group on the floor and in the air; the flying can be low and slow or higher and faster for those with more confidence. The workshop content, pace and equipment will be adapted to suit different bodies and individual
creative ambitions. During the week everybody will be invited to participate in both the
aerial and the music work. These two elements will be closely linked and will sometimes happen in the same space at the same time. Participants are welcome to bring their own music instruments.

A range of accessible accommodation with shared rooms (which are limited) and dormitories. Is available at the venue.

The Company hopes to be able to offer a number of bursary places for unwaged and disabled persons and subsidy for PAs, subject to funding.
