Get It On is a new disability arts project led by performers Chris Tally Evans and Maggie Hampton working in partnership with Arts Disability Wales The project has two phases: 'Get Experience' and 'Get it together' Get Experience is for any aspiring performers, writers, musicians or film-makers who are over 18 and are disabled. The days are especially designed for people who want to come and see what it’s all about. The 'Get Experience' days should be thought provoking and fun. Chris and Maggie will lead you through a series of workshops that will inspire you to turn the stories you never knew you had into fantastic pieces of performance. The workshops will take place on: 8 May 2004 at Chapter Arts Centre, Cardiff 10.30am-3.30pm 15 May 2004 at Dylan Thomas Centre, Swansea 10.30am-3.30pm Get It Together is for existing disabled performers, writers, musicians or film-makers living or working in Wales. The sessions will provide an opportunity to meet other established or emerging artists at one of the Collaboration Days. These days will focus on sharing existing work and then putting together new and exciting collaborations and seeing what comes out. The sessions take place on 18 May 2004 at Chapter Arts Centre, Cardiff 10.30am-3.30pm 19 May 2004 at Dylan Thomas Centre, Swansea 10.30am-3.30pm The venues are accessible and there will be a range of access features: Warm and friendly atmosphere. BSL sign language interpreters, CCTV magnifier, personal assistance, but if you have any specific access requirements please get in touch.
