PEMBROKESHIRE DRAMA SUMMER SCHEME
SURREALISIMO
A partnership between the Torch Theatre and Pembrokeshire County Council
An opportunity for young people, aged 15-21, to work with professional practitioners in devising a piece of visual theatre using the lives of surrealist poets and painters. There will be opportunities for those wishing to develop their skills as performers and those wishing to learn or develop skills in sound, lighting, video, stage management and construction. The course may be of particular interest to those who are studying art, media or drama at school, but is open to all.
Part circus, part cabaret, the show promises to be an insane examination of one of the 20th centuries most popular and controversial art forms. The original mad, bad boys and girls of Western Art.
The course will run from 9 – 31 August, with performances taking place on 3 & 4 September.
