Public Culture: Public Communication by Welsh Absence from Countries & Regions Presenting Their Best Many a Welsh production has found both audience and critical acclaim over the years. Some productions have returned repeatedly.

The roll of honour includes “A Regular Little Houdini”, “Deep Cut”, “Grav”, “Hiraeth”, “The Radicalisation of Bradley Manning”, “Sugar Baby.”

3352 companies perform in 256 venues in Edinburgh this summer. It is not just a festival unlike any other but it is also an international show-place, a market-place of theatrical display.

The Fringe organisers announce:

“There are a number of showcases and showcasing initiatives from across the world that support exciting work from their regions at the Fringe.

“Some of them offer a curated selection, others offer official support to work that's already coming to the Fringe.”

Those presenting the best of their work are:

Australia. “House of Oz is an award-winning philanthropic powerhouse dedicated to promoting Australian creative arts on the international stage. We offer vital funding for production, marketing, and PR resources, as well as covering travel and accommodation costs. With a remarkable track record of producing over 1,000 performances and facilitating international tours for Australian artists, House of Oz showcases the rich diversity and excellence of Australian talent internationally.

“Following an incredibly impactful 2024 season — garnering 28 five-star reviews and reaching over 50,000 audience members, and collecting over 100 offers for onward touring amounting to 8 years of touring for our artists  — we are beyond thrilled to unveil our 2025 program.

“We present eight magnificent Australian productions traversing a rich spectrum of genres including comedy, musical theatre, circus, opera, drama, dance and children’s theatre – with powerful themes: from girl power and teamwork to mental health, grief and non-duality. We’re providing inclusive music experiences for all children, including those with special educational needs. And we’re also delighted to support presentation in the Edinburgh International Festival with one of our phenomenal circus acts from our inaugural year.”

This year at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Luxembourg is taking back the stage with four extraordinary works which blur boundaries between body and technology, myth and modernity, play and protest. Through dance, physical theatre, and bold interdisciplinary gestures, these four shows challenge what it means to be human in a world shaped by walls, wires, and whimsical contradictions.
