One final feast of Pork Pies on the menu with another bonus performance!

As Theatr Gwynedd report yet another sellout performance of the Porc Peis Bach Stage Show, O Diar!, the show’s co-producers, Cambrensis Cyf and Theatr Bara Caws have announced that there will be another added matinee performance for those fans still eager to enjoy a final slice of the (pork) pie!

Tickets for the evening performances sold out within a matter of days, and as a result a matinee show was added to the list of performances to accommodate the high demand for seats. But with the show already garnering rave reviews following Saturday’e premiere showing, Thursday’s matinee has now also sold out. As a result, Cambrensis Cyf and Theatr Bara Caws have decided to add one more bonus performance in order to meet the public’s appetite for Welsh theatre.

This latest matinee will be staged at Theatr Gwynedd, Bangor on the Friday of the Eisteddfod, August 5 at 2.00pm, in order to give those who have been pounding the Eisteddfod field non-stop the opportunity to sit back, relax and enjoy a show that is sure to be jam-packed with laughs and all kinds of nonsense! So if you are yet to buy your tickets, it’s still not to late. But hurry, Theatr Gwynedd’s phones are already red hot for the additional tickets.

The show, which is directed by Valmai Jones, is an adaptation and a continuation of the story of Donald Parry, his son Kenneth and the rest of the village. The show’s cast includes a number of the old favourites and faces which will be familiar to those who enjoyed the six popular series on S4C. The show has been written by the creator of the S4C series, Wynford Ellis Owen and just like the series and the film which preceded it, his comedy genius is to be seen in every single scene.

This is the last chance for the people of Wales to get another bite of the Porc Pei and to mark the occasion Cambrensis has produced a souvenir programme as a Keepsake of the trials and tribulations of the Minister’s son and the rest of the residents of Llanllewyn!

Donald (Wynford Ellis Owen), Kenneth (Siôn Trystan) and the rest of the Llanllewyn crew will also be venturing onto the National Eisteddfod field – in style! – on Tuesday, August 2 at 12.00pm. After a colourful, and no doubt eventful, parade around the field, they’ll head towards the open-air stage by Food Patio 1 for a special performance starting at 1.00pm. So be sure to join in the fun!
Bydd Donald (Wynford Ellis Owen), Kenneth (Siôn Trystan) a gweddill criw Llanllewyn hefyd yn mentro i faes yr Eisteddfod Genedlaethol – a hynny mewn steil! – ddydd Mawrth, 2 Awst am 12.00pm. Wedi cyfnod o grwydro’r maes gyda phared lliwgar, byddent yn diweddu’r daith gyda pherfformiad arbennig draw ar y llwyfan agored gerllaw Patio Bwyd 1 am 1.00pm. Felly dewch yn llu i ymuno’n yr hwyl.
In order to grab your seat for the show, phone Theatr Gwynedd’s box office now on 01248 351 708.
