Red Wave Dance present Ebb and Flow
|
Red Wave Dance works to promote awareness of the incredible creative energy nurtured by this former industrial city and its visionary new arts centre. The company produces work of quality which is innovative, original and relevant, and that succeeds in sending a powerful, expressive message with meaning style, and passion.
Ebb and Flow is the first production by Red Wave Dance. It is based on the river, drawing parallels between how the river flows to the ocean and changes as it goes. This is reflected in the music and dance vocabulary and how the dancers develop and become something new.
Carl Butcher, Artistic Director of Red Wave Dance has lived in Newport for 30 years and has choreographed many dance styles including ballet and bharatanatyam. He said “I am thrilled to be premiering Ebb and Flow at The Riverfront.”
Come along and experience the energy of the most exciting modern dance company to emerge from Newport’s vibrant arts scene. Tickets are priced £6 with reductions available. To book, please call The Riverfront Box Office on 01633 656757.
